Representatives from post-secondary institutions in BC gathered to discuss how to move forward on the Truth and Reconciliation Report.
A summit was held last week focused on how post-secondary institutions can help move forward on the Calls to Action contained in the report.
North Island College Director of Aboriginal Education Kelly Shopland says one of the themes from the summit is the need for ongoing consultation with Aboriginal communities.
Shopland says the college’s Aboriginal Advisory Council helps the college in determining programs and services needed by aboriginal services.
