Marigold Pharmacy shut down amidst 'public safety concerns'

The College of Pharmacists of BC has ordered the closure of Marigold Compounding and Natural Pharmacy in Courtenay and a suspension on the registration of its manager, Mr. Isidore “Rudy” Sanchez, after an investigation revealed serious concerns with both the pharmacy site and the pharmacy practice conducted there.

Director of Public Accountability and Engagement Mykle Ludvigsen says, the college had plenty of reasons for taking action.

Ludvigsen says Sanchez is suspended until further notice, and he’s advising any patients that have received medication from Marigold and are concerned about their health, to contact their physician.

Ludvigsen says the investigation is ongoing.
