Finding the Perfect Job

Job searching isn’t always the easiest task. You might be wondering what the secret is to finding that perfect career.

Andrea Gilsillan is the employer services co-coordinator with the Job Shop at Work-BC.

They recently held an Employment Expo in the Comox Valley, and she says it was a great success. Gilsillan offers some tips on what employers are looking for in a potential employee.

Gilsillan says it’s not just about finding a job online. She says employers still appreciate meeting a potential employee in person.

She adds anyone looking for work can head to the Job Shop to use their resource centre. You can get some help with your resume and expand your portfolio to find the job that’s right for you.
