Planning underway for 2017 Mountie Camp

Planning has started for the 2017 Mounted Police Camp in the Comox Valley.

The camp runs every second year during spring break and offers high school students the chance to experience a police boot-camp.

Constable Rob Gardner says it’s a chance for students to experience what RCMP training is like. He notes they make it as close to reality as possible. He says it’s a unique program that’s very hands-on.

Interested students can talk to their Work Experience Coordinator at their school to start the application process.
