Fall season has Comox Live Fire Training Centre firing up operations

It is that time of year again, when operations are going full tilt at the Comox Live Fire Training Centre. Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says fire departments from all Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast are booked in for various training sessions this fall.

Schreiner says response to their full slate of firefighter training sessions has been overwhelmingly positive. He says the Campbell River and Powell River Fire Departments are making good use of the facility, with the Campbell River Fire department actually renting out the entire centre…

Schreiner highlights a key component of the Live Fire Training Centre’s recently expanded operations, a program focusing on firefighters rescuing other firefighters…

Schreiner says a steady stream of fire crews from throughout the region will take full advantage of the Comox facility this fall.
