MADD Canada launching Comox Valley chapter

A local family is spearheading a push to open a MADD Canada chapter in the Comox Valley.

Leslie Wells is spearheading the local chapter.

She says she decided to start the chapter after her daughter Molly was hit and seriously injured by a drunk driver. She notes MADD helps out people when they’re going through difficult situations like she did. She says there is always someone available to talk to from MADD during a time of need.

Molly Burton says they are looking for donations and volunteers to get the chapter fully up and running.

Anyone interested in helping out can go to maddchapters.ca/comoxvalley.
