2014 Tour de Rock rolls to finish line in downtown Victoria

After cycling for over a thousand kilometres, and plenty of tears shed, and hugs shared, including one tough crash injuring several riders, the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock has wrapped up for another year. Goat News caught up with Jan Buehler with the Canadian Cancer Society, who says while it was definitely a long journey, the riders had lots of inspiration and motivation.

Buehler reflected on the highlights of the campaign, which featured a contingent of riders from the Comox Valley, Campbell River, and the North Island.

Despite school fundraisers taking a hit from schools being shut down from the teachers strike, scores of donations came in. Donations are still being tallied up today, including online donations.
