Cumberland looking for feedback on banning yard waste burning

Cumberland residents are being asked to give their feedback on yard waste burning.

Residents are currently allowed to burn yard waste twice a year, between March 15th and April 30th and October 15th and November 30th. Mayor Leslie Baird says the Village is considering banning yard waste fires and a survey is now available online.

Baird says this would not affect other kinds of burning permits, like recreational backyard burning or land-clearing fires.
