George Knox running for Courtenay Council

Another candidate has thrown their hat into the ring for a spot on Courtenay city Council; George Knox.

Knox says he wants to see some changes happen at the council table. For instance, he doesn’t like how the Maple Pool campground issue has been handled, and he didn’t like it back when he ran for council in 2011.

Knox also takes aim at the development application process in the city, saying it takes seemingly forever to get something approved at City Hall.

Knox says he’s worked in the telephone industry basically his entire life, with the work taking him to other provinces in the Country, and a few places in the United States.

Knox says he’s running as a citizen that cares about tax payers values.
