Valley Mounties make drug bust

The Comox Valley RCMP has cracked down on a drug trafficking operation. Constable Rob Gardner says a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 1500 block of Piercy Road in Courtenay.

Gardner says that, “Upon entry into the residence, officers noted a number of items marked for sale that were believed to be infused with cannabis. Among the items seized were a substantial amount of marijuana, cannabis resin, as well as cannabis infused edibles which included chocolates, hard candies, lollipops, and baked goods.”

He notes that numerous knives were also seized, along with a cattle prod, handheld taser and cash.

2 Courtenay men were charged with possession and will reappear in court on March 23rd, 2017.
