Former Base Commander reacts to Ottawa shootings

The Ottawa police chief says a Canadian armed forces member was shot at the National War Memorial. The young soldier died from injuries. Name and age will not be released at this time. All available police resources have been deployed, more are on stand-by. The Chief confirms the suspect was shot and killed inside the Centre Block of Parliament. Police are asking people to stay away from downtown core.

A former 19 Wing Comox Base Commander and Courtenay Councillor says the Ottawa shootings are a major blow for the Canadian Forces…Goat News spoke with Jon Ambler…

Ambler says these attacks are all about creating fear in our society…

Ambler says his condolences go out to family members of the shooting victims.

19 Wing Comox spokesperson Captain Trevor Reid says security at the base will be tightened up.

Ottawa is still in a state of chaos right now with a huge police response from the shootings.
