Road work starting Tuesday

Water main improvements in South Courtenay next week will result in periodic traffic disruptions on the Island Highway South (Highway 19A) and Fraser Road.

Anne Guillo with the city of Courtenay says, the work is starting Tuesday, and should wrap up on Friday, and crews will be working from 8 am to 3 pm on those days.

She says that some residents will have interruption in their water service because of the work, but that the city is contacting them beforehand, to let them know when it will happen.
