Courtenay Flash Mob in support of our troops draws big crowd

A Flash mob show of support in a sea of red, at Courtenay’s Sid Williams Theatre Plaza this morning, for the two military victims in those recent attacks at Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and in Quebec. Courtenay Councilor Jon Ambler joined about 80 people at the event.

Ambler says the group sang O’Canada, most of them wearing red, and reflected on violent acts claiming the lives of Canadians…

Meanwhile organizer Greg Phelps, a former Courtenay Mayor, explains the motivation behind the event.

Phelps says he was impressed with the turnout at that Courtenay Flash Mob.
