Setting up the infrastructure to handle future growth in the southern portion of the Comox Valley, including Denman and Hornby Island–that is the driving force behind the BC Hydro Buckley Bay Substation Project south of Courtenay. Watson highlights the current phase of the project, focusing on underground infrastructure, adding this is just one of several Comox Valley BC Hydro projects undertaken by the utility.
