Puntledge Elementary takes part in 'Everybody Deserves a Smile' program

The Goat had some very special visitors on Wednesday, as students and a teacher from Puntledge Park Elementary were in house to talk about their involvement in the Everybody Deserves a Smile program.

Teacher Nicholas Williams says the children are planning to make over 600 care packages, which they’ll then hand out to homeless in the Comox Valley, Nanaimo, Victoria and East Hastings in Vancouver.

He says the program is a great learning tool for kids.

He says they’re collecting the items at Puntledge Elementary School, but also at:

  • The Comox Rec center
  • Zocalo Cafe
  • Courtenay Remax
  • Seeds Food Market
  • First Credit Union (Cumberland)

You can find out more information at EDAS.ca, or at their facebook page.
