Funding for child care spaces in the Comox Valley

Beachcombers school in Fanny Bay has been given a major shot in the arm by the provincial government, as the ministry of children and family development are giving them $218,853 to expand their ‘Little Oysters’ Preschool facility, adding 16 new child care spots.

Zoe Lambert is the President of Beachcombers, and tells Goat news what the new facility will look like.

They’re not the only ones who got the good news; the ministry is also giving $64,141 to Cumberland’s Three Tree Early Learning Center. That will enable the center to develop 8 more multi-age care spaces.
