The Comox Valley RCMP say there’s been a few break and enters and thefts in the area recently.

Constable Don Sinclair says, for instance, one happened on the 1000 block of Webdon Road in Courtenay.

Sinclair says other incidents include a break and enter that happened to a business on the 2000 block of Comox Road, where somebody picked the lock, then stole cash and cigarettes while the store clerk was cleaning.

A resident on Hornby Island had a large amount of cash taken from his home while he was away, and a Black Creek man reported an expensive Stihl chainsaw being stolen from his shed, on the 8900 block of Clarkson avenue.
