RCMP is investigating a shooting in Courtenay.
Mounties were called out just after midnight on Wednesday to a report of shots fired in the 46-hundred block of Island Highway.
One male victim was taken to local hospital for treatment.
Police say his injuries were not life threatening.
Investigators say they do not believe it was a random incident and are looking for those responsible.
