Small quake off Vancouver Island

While most of us were watching the weather, the earth had a surprise for us.

Natural Resources Canada says there was a magnitude 3.2 earthquake just before 7 Thursday morning. The epicenter was in Georgia Strait between Sechelt and Nanaimo.

Natural Resources says they had reports of it being felt lightly in places on the Sunshine Coast and the mid-Island, and as far south as Salt Spring Island.

There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected according to Natural Resources Earthquakes Canada page.
