442 called in to rescue fisherman

A hurt fisherman ended up with a call to the 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron. The fisherman was hurt Thursday morning on a long-liner that was near Benjamin Point on Haida Gwaii.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Victoria organized the medevac mission. The fisherman was first taken to Sandspit and then was then taken to hospital by air ambulance.
