Parking will be free at North Island College starting on Sunday, October 1st.
At its Board meeting on Thursday, the North Island College Board of Governors decided to discontinue pay parking at the Comox Valley campus. This comes weeks after Island Health announced that parking would be free at the new Comox Valley Hospital.
“Given the change in context, the Board decided discontinuing paid parking was the right thing to do,” said NIC’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Randall Heidt.
The College will refund individuals who have pre-paid for parking past October 1st, 2017.
