Just over two dozen people at the St.Joe’s Hospital residential care unit in Comox have come down with the Norovirus, which includes vomiting and diarrhea. Jet News spoke with The Views Executive Director Michael Aikins.
Aikins says the rules have changed when it comes to visitations to facilities struck by the Norovirus.
Aikins says various measures have been taken at the facility including restricting residents activities, providing personal equipment to the staff such as masks, gowns and gloves, and heightened surveillance of the facility and residents.
