UPDATE: One man taken to hospital after shooting in Courtenay

A Courtenay man is in the hospital after he was shot today.

The RCMP says it happened just after midnight in the 1700 block of Arden Road. The 50-year-old was shot in his home.

Police believe this was a targeted incident and that there is no risk to the public. No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
