Lerwick Road bus stops moved closer to new hospital

COURTENAY, B.C- A pair of bus stops have been moved to be closer to Courtenay’s new hospital.

According to a release from the municipal government, the move is being made after consultation with the Comox Valley Regional District and BC Transit. The pre-existing bus stops along both sides of Lerwick Road will be moved from Mission Road to Waters Place.

“This move will improve service to the new hospital and make the service more user friendly,” read the release.

Signage has now been installed, and buses will be stopping at both the old and new locations starting on Monday, Dec. 18. The old locations will be phased out by Friday, Dec. 22.
