Power out in east Comox

UPDATE: The power has been restored, according to BC Hydro. The cause was a tree down on the power lines.

COMOX, B.C- More than 1800 residents of Comox are in the dark this morning.

According to BC Hydro, power is currently out in the east end of the community. A total of 1817 people, east of Pritchard Road, are affected by the problem.

Work crews are enroute. A cause for the outage, which has been ongoing since 8:19, is not yet available.
