Comox-Powell River sailings cancelled due to bad weather

COMOX, B.C- The ferry between Comox and Powell River won’t be running this evening.

According to a notice posted on the BC Ferries website, the Salish Raven has cancelled sailings due to strong winds.

The cancellations will impact the 3:25 p.m. sailing from Comox, and the 5:15 sailing from Powell River.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us,” read the notice from the ferry service.

“We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so.”
