COURTENAY, B.C- Two local men have been charged after a drug trafficking investigation in the Comox Valley.
According to a release issued by the Comox Valley RCMP, the detachment’s Drug Section executed a search warrant in December, which led to the arrest of two men.
The first man, who is 30 years old and a resident of Courtenay, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was released on a promise to appear in court. As the court information has not yet been sworn, his name was not released by the police.
The second man was 32 year old Travis Grant Sehn, also a resident of Courtenay. He is facing charges of possessing heroin for the purpose of trafficking, and the possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
His next court date is Feb. 8, 2018.
“Our Drug section continues to work very hard and is continuing to disrupt drug trafficking into 2018.” stated Constable Rob Gardner, spokesperson for the detachment.
“These investigations take a lot of time, we are very lucky to have a dedicated team of investigators that can work on these files. Many times right from receiving a tip from the public, to writing warrants, making arrests and testifying in court.”
