Motorcycle Mayhem in Cumberland

On April 28th, 2014, a resident on the Comox Lake road in 

Cumberland witnessed two dirt bikes, one carrying a helmetless rider, driving up the road in contravention of the motor vehicle act.

017.AVI_snapshot_00.13_[2014.05.08_14.14.59] (1)The two unlicensed dirt bikes were seen driving on the roadway; in fact one was driving around a blind corner in the oncoming lane of travel.

An unnamed male stated that this is not first time that this has occurred as it happens on a regular basis.

This is not only an illegal act but a dangerous act and it is only a matter of time before there is tragedy attached to it.

The public are encouraged to report these types of offences and if they know the identity of someone perpetrating these acts they are asked to report this as well.

Two of the bikes pictured in the attached photos are as follows: Bike one is Blue and white in color with the rider wear a purple and grey sweatshirt and a Yellow helmet.

Bike two is Red and White with gold colored forks and the driver has a blue colored coat and Black colored helmet.

The public can report these incidences to the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321, or they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
