CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The RCMP has confirmed human remains have been found near Campbell River.
They were discovered in a rural area outside the city.
The RCMP says the remains are unidentified at this time.
An investigation is underway to figure out not only the identity of the person but also the circumstances surrounding their death.
Corporal Ron Vlooswyk with the Campbell River RCMP says there is no more information at this time, but the RCMP will be releasing more details once the remains are identified.
