COURTENAY, B.C. – Residents hoping to enjoy the wave pool at the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre in Courtenay will have to wait for the day.
The centre said that due to an undisclosed contamination in the wave pool, it’s closed for the day. The slides are also not in service.
However, the 25-metre pool is open, as is the hot tub, steam room and sauna.
The centre said that the contamination results in a 12-hour closure to clean the pool and slides. The wave pool and slides will reopen to the public on Monday morning.
