Free transit on route to Cumberland for Victoria Day

CUMBERLAND, B.C. – BC Transit will be offering free fares to residents of the Comox Valley to celebrate Victoria Day this weekend.

The free fares will apply to route two into Cumberland.

A notice from the transit service stated that this would make it easier for residents and visitors to get to the festivities in the village on Monday, May 21.

There will also be a few minor route alterations to accommodate the parade in Cumberland. A map and schedule can be viewed via this link.

Following the parade, the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) will have a transit booth set up between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. so residents can learn more about transit initiatives in the area, including next month’s Commuter Challenge.
