Off-season moves continue for Campbell River Storm

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – The Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League’s (VIJHL) Campbell River Storm are gearing up for next season.

The team, who won the league championship this past year, has added some new players to its roster over the last few weeks.

On May 30th, a deal was completed, sending Ryan Butler to the Kerry Park Islanders in exchange for Victoria-born forward Kayden Peck. Last season, Peck had 42 points over 42 games (20 goals, 22 assists) with Kerry Park.

Defenseman Jackson Dyke committed to the Storm on June 4th.

Dyke previously played with the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy and worked with the Storm as an affiliate player (AP) during the 2017-2018 season, where he had two assists over seven games.

Keenan Toal, who also played for Pacific Coast, committed to the Storm on June 8th. The forward has played in eight games as an affiliate player for the Storm, including seven last season. Over those games, he scored three goals.

Forward Noah Fladager has committed to the VIJHL team. He played last season with the North Island Silvertips (BCMML), and in 15 games as an AP with the Storm, where he scored three goals and had two assists.

Campbell River’s latest acquisition is Greater Vancouver Canadians (BCMML) forward Radek Hewson. Hewson had 11 goals and 11 assists over 33 games.
