COURTENAY, B.C- Motorists crossing the river on Canada Day might be delayed in the evening.
According to a notice from Emcon Services Inc., the 17th Street bridge will be opening up at 9:00 p.m. to allow one boat to exit the inner harbour in Courtenay on Sunday.
The name of the boat is “Searches”, according to the notice.
Drivers heading that way should prepare for delays around that time.
