Over one hundred people dropped by the CVRD’s newly opened South Sewer Royston project office today, to learn more about a major infrastructure project that was initially talked about back in the late 1970’s.
Jet News was there and spoke with Project Manager Kris Larose.
Larose says the idea is to get rid of all those failing septic systems, with core areas of Royston and Union Bay the first to be hooked up to the sewer system in several years time.
Meanwhile efforts continue to secure more government funding for the massive South Sewer Project.
