Pride flags to be raised Monday

COMOX VALLEY, B.C. – Pride Week is being celebrated in the Comox Valley this week.

Events are on from Monday, July 23rd to Saturday, July 28th, 2018.

The Town of Comox kicks things off with the raising of the Pride flag at 9:00 a.m.

The Village of Cumberland will raise its flag at 10:00 a.m. at the village office, followed by the City of Courtenay at 12:00 p.m.

19 Wing Comox will hold a Base Ceremony, according to the Comox Valley Pride website. Other events to kick the week off include the Pride Friendly Family Swim.

That’s on from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre.

North Island College will be raising the Pride flag on Tuesday, July 24th at 10:30 a.m.
