BUCKLEY BAY, B.C. – The ferry that takes travellers from Vancouver Island to Denman Island is out of service.
BC Ferries said the Baynes Sound Connector has been removed from service to undergo repairs. The vessel is experiencing an issue with its hydraulic system, which requires specialized technicians to fix.
In the meantime, the MV Quinitsa will take over on the route, operating on the regular schedule.
The company said that ferry service will not be impacted.
However, traffic pattern changes are in effect at both Denman West and Buckley Bay due to the MV Quinitsa operating at alternate berths.
