No injuries as boat falls off trailer in Merville

COURTENAY, B.C. – No injuries were reported this afternoon in a motor vehicle incident along the Old Island Highway.

A call came in to the Courtenay Fire Department at around 12:45 p.m.

According to reports, a boat fell off its trailer along the road near the Merville Store and Merville Hall.

The fire department and BC Ambulance, along with the RCMP, responded to the scene. No major injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
