Valley teachers president and Dist. 71 Superintendent speak out on job action

Comox Valley schools will soon be behind picket lines as frustrated teachers move on to Phase Two of their job action strategy. Jet News spoke with Comox District Teachers Association President Steve Stanley with details on exactly when valley schools will be targeted.

Stanley says hopes of making progress on a new collective agreement have faded in recent days.

Meanwhile Comox Valley School District Superintendent Sherry Elwood had this response.

Elwood is asked what sort of feedback District 71 is getting from parents on teachers job action.

BCTF rotating job action goes from Monday to Thursday of next week with the Comox Valley impacted on Thursday May 29.
