Firefighters assist injured boy out of Nymph Falls area

COURTENAY, B.C- A young boy was injured close to Nymph Falls today.

According to the Courtenay fire department, a call came at 4:00 p.m. to assist with an emergency at the park.

When firefighters arrived, they assisted the 13 year old up from rocks at the river, helping paramedics get him over the trails to a waiting ambulance. He had suffered a non-life threatening injury.

There were no other injuries reported from the scene, and the boy was taken to hospital.

Firefighters were clear by 5:00 p.m.
