Departing RCMP inspector brews up community engagement

HORNBY ISLAND, B.C. – RCMP Inspector Tim Walton is leaving the Comox Valley, but before he goes, come and have coffee – on him.

Walton will be at the Hornby Island RCMP detachment on Saturday (Aug. 18) from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. serving up some coffee and treats.

On Aug. 23, you’ll find Walton at the Hot Chocolates cafe in downtown Courtenay, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. serving up coffee and treats.

“This is an informal opportunity for residents to come and discuss what matters to them” said Cst. Monika Terragni, the Comox Valley RCMP’s media relations officer.  “There is no agenda, just conversations about what matters to people living in the Comox Valley.”
