Woman wanted on animal abuse charges, man no longer wanted for breach of probation charges

UPDATE: Roddie turned himself in to police as of yesterday afternoon, and his charges were not related to Betancourt’s.

COURTENAY, B.C- The Comox Valley RCMP are looking for two people this week.

The first person is a 26 year old woman named Tara Betancourt. She stands five feet and two inches tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes, and weighs 119 pounds.

She’s wanted for causing harm to an animal, neglecting an animal, and causing an animal distress.

The second person is Shea Roddie, a 36 year old man. He stands five feet and seven inches tall, and weighs 190 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

He’s wanted for a breach of probation and theft under $5000.

Anyone with information on either person is asked to contact the police.
