Police seeking purse theft suspect

COURTENAY, B.C. – The Comox Valley RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding an alleged thief.

According to Constable Monika Terragni, a woman entered a business on the 2800 block of Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay, and allegedly stole a purse someone had left inside a cart.

Terragni said the incident was reported to have happened on September 11, 2018.

The woman is described as being 30 to 40 years old, heavy set, with long brown hair and standing between five feet, three inches and five feet, nine inches.

Anyone with further details is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file 2018-12999.

Tips can also be sent in anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
