Cliffe Avenue between 1st and 3rd Streets to close next Wednesday

COURTENAY, B.C- Downtown drivers will be facing a detour next week.

According to a notice from the City of Courtenay, Cliffe Avenue between 1st Street and 3rd Street will be getting closed on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for work on a new storm water service connection.

Local traffic will be allowed in the work zone, but other commuters will have to go around via 1st or 3rd Street to Duncan Avenue.

Traffic personnel will be on site to assist all commuters, including local traffic and emergency vehicles.

“We thank everyone for your understanding while crews perform this necessary work,” read the notice.
