RCMP still seeking man in Lake Trail School exposure incident

COURTENAY, B.C- The police in the Comox Valley are still looking for the man believed to have exposed his genitals on the grounds of Lake Trail School this week.

According to an RCMP press release issued on Wednesday, officers were called to a complaint of a man who had exposed himself to a group of students at the school on Monday afternoon.

Extensive patrols were conducted in the area, but the man was not found.

The release indicates that a group of students had been outside the school around 1:00 p.m. when a man in his early 20’s walked through the grounds with his pants open, exposing his genitals.

“The male walked through the school grounds and out of the sight of the students. The students immediately notified school staff who in turn contacted the police,” read the release.

He is described as being a white man, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a grey sweater with a white t-shirt underneath, jeans or dark pants, and a grey or blue hat.

One of the witnesses believed he looked unkempt, or dishevelled.

“The Comox RCMP is asking students and parents to report any suspicious activities immediately to the RCMP,” read the release.

“Anyone with information is asked to please contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file 2018-15063.”
