Cumberland vote recount decision coming this afternoon

COURTENAY, B.C- A judge will decide on whether or not to take a second look at Cumberland’s election this afternoon.

Roger Kishi, who had lost his council seat by two votes in the recent municipal elections, has brought an application to provincial court for a judicial re-count of Cumberland’s votes.

The application was heard this morning at the Courtenay courthouse, and the judge will be making a decision later this afternoon.

Court resumes at 2:00 p.m.
