No injuries after car driven into ditch along Back Road

COURTENAY, B.C- A car wound up in a ditch along Back Road today.

The Courtenay fire department was called to the intersection of Back Road and McDonald Road shortly after 12:30 pm, for a vehicle rollover.

Upon arrival, they found a car stuck in the ditch next to the westbound lane, with the female driver stuck inside.

The driver had not sustained any injuries, and couldn’t get out due to the door being stuck against the ditch.

She was assisted out of the vehicle.

Traffic in the area was delayed while first responders handled the scene.
