Charges being considered in Oyster River rollover

OYSTER RIVER, B.C- A young woman who was injured in a crash earlier this month could be facing criminal charges.

According to Constable Monika Terragni, the spokesperson for the Comox Valley RCMP, the driver was a 35-year-old woman from the Comox Valley. News reports indicated that she was ejected from her vehicle in a crash on November 7, 2018, along Macauley Road, near the intersection with Nailer Road.

The vehicle rolled over when she was ejected, and she was airlifted from the scene by first responders. Terragni indicated that her injuries were serious, but not life threatening.

Charges being considered in the incident may include impaired driving, or others, according to Terragni. The investigation is still ongoing.
