Stuff the Truck wrapping up today

COURTENAY, B.C- Tons of food have been raised over at the west-end Thrifty Foods in Courtenay this week.

98.9 The Goat FM has teamed up with Clark’s Household Moving, Thrifty Foods and the Comox Valley Food Bank to collect donations for the bank.

Food items can be dropped off at the Thrifty Foods on 17th Avenue and Cliffe Avenue, with the goal being to fill a Clark’s Household Moving truck.

98.9 The Goat FM was be on location every day this week, and the drive will be wrapping up this evening.

Businesses can also make a corporate donation by purchasing a pallet of food to go towards the food bank. For more details, visit this link.

As of this publication, 34 pallets have been purchased, a total of 16 tons of food. 330 pre-packaged bags of food donations have also been purchased by Thrifty’s shoppers.

Cash donations are also being accepted, and a total of $6250 has been raised as of this publication.
