RCMP collecting donations for the Comox Valley Food Bank on Saturday

COURTENAY, B.C. – The Comox Valley RCMP will be cramming the cruiser on December 15th.

Constable Monika Terragni said the detachment will be teaming up with the Real Canadian Superstore, Tim Hortons, 97.3 The Eagle FM and the Comox Valley Food Bank for the one-day initiative.

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, RCMP members and volunteers will be at the Real Canadian Superstore in Courtenay. They will be collecting donations for the local food bank, with the goal being to fill a police cruiser.

Terragni said there will be hot dogs for lunch, coffee to warm up, and a “big Safety Bear” available for visits. Anyone who drops off a donation will also be able to enter their name for a prize draw.
