Heavy rain expected between Qualicum Beach and Fanny Bay

VANCOUVER ISLAND, B.C- Rain is hitting the coast tonight.

The heaviest rain is expected between Qualicum Beach and Fanny Bay along Eastern Vancouver Island.

The heaviest rainfall amounts of 50 millimetres will fall between the two communities.

The heavy rain will ease to showers overnight as the front exits the region.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
